Adults

Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or quietly struggling beneath the surface. Whether you are navigating anxiety, addiction recovery, depression, or a significant life transition, therapy offers a space to slow down, gain perspective, and better understand what you’re experiencing. I provide individual therapy, teen therapy, couples therapy, and family therapy to address these issues. As a therapist serving Aspen, Basalt, Carbondale, and the Roaring Fork Valley, I work with individuals to explore underlying patterns, build resilience, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Teens & adolescents

Young adults embark on a journey of growth and significant change during this often tumultuous stage of life. It is a time of individuation, which can bring conflict, insecurity, and confusion alongside the desire to develop a stronger sense of self. This period of transition often affects not only the individual but also the entire family system and beyond, highlighting the importance of family therapy.

What do we make of all these changes in our bodies, emotions, and relationships? What if we are questioning our gender or sexuality? How do we feel about the way we speak or present ourselves? With whom do we share our thoughts and experiences about substance use, social pressures, or even addiction recovery? How do we begin to understand our shifting place within our families and in the world at large?

Therapy for young adults, including individual therapy and teen therapy, can offer a safe and supportive space to sort through the myriad emotions that arise during this crucial time. Working with a therapist provides an opportunity to explore these questions without judgment or bias. Because therapy exists outside of your everyday environment, it creates a space that is entirely your own, where you can speak openly, reflect honestly, and begin to better understand yourself.

I offer therapy for young adults in Aspen, Basalt, and Carbondale, as well as virtual sessions throughout California, supporting clients as they navigate identity, relationships, and life transitions. Whether you’re seeking couples therapy, family therapy, or individual therapy, you'll find a place just for you, helping you develop greater clarity and confidence.

Couples

Relationships can become strained when communication breaks down, conflict repeats itself, or disconnection begins to take hold. I offer couples therapy for partners who want to better understand one another, repair trust, and create a more secure and connected relationship. In addition to couples therapy, I also provide family therapy and individual therapy for those looking to address personal issues, including addiction recovery or emotional distance. Whether you’re navigating ongoing conflict, feeling disconnected, or working through the impact of infidelity, couples therapy provides a structured and supportive space to work through what’s happening beneath the surface. I also offer teen therapy for younger individuals facing unique challenges. I provide couples therapy in Aspen, Basalt, and Carbondale, working with partners at all stages of their relationship.

families

Family therapy can be a safe, supportive environment that fosters change and development while improving communication and resolving conflicts. Life transitions such as addiction recovery, death, divorce, and parenting often take a tremendous toll on families. When I work with adults or teens in individual therapy or teen therapy, we may decide that including family sessions would be beneficial. This approach provides a cohesive support structure for the entire affected group, complementing couples therapy and individual therapy. Families participating in therapy can gain valuable insights into their patterns of interaction, allowing them to create more harmonious means of addressing issues.

ADDICTIOn & recovery

Addiction doesn't just affect one person—it ripples through our own lives, relationships between couples, and of course families. Through individual therapy, I help clients understand the role addiction plays in their lives. I also work with couples in couples therapy and families in family therapy to repair trust, rebuild communication, and move toward healing together. Additionally, I offer teen therapy for younger individuals struggling with addiction, ensuring that all aspects of the family can embark on the path of addiction recovery.

I love to help new therapists find their way in the room with clients, whether it's through individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, or even teen therapy. I will guide you through what can be a nerve-wracking start to a wonderfully fulfilling career in areas like addiction recovery. Please call or email me to learn more about what I do.
