Adults

Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or quietly struggling beneath the surface. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, or a significant life transition, therapy offers a space to slow down, gain perspective, and better understand what you’re experiencing.

As a therapist serving Aspen, Basalt, Carbondale, and the Roaring Fork Valley, I work with individuals to explore underlying patterns, build resilience, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Teens & adolescents

Young adults begin a journey of growth and significant change during this often tumultuous stage of life. It is a time of individuation, and that process can bring conflict, insecurity, and confusion alongside the desire to develop a stronger sense of self. This period of transition often affects not only the individual, but the entire family system, and beyond.

What do we make of all of these changes in our bodies, our emotions, and our relationships? What if we are questioning our gender or sexuality? How do we feel about the way we speak or present ourselves? With whom do we share our thoughts and experiences around substance use, social pressures, or bullying? And how do we begin to understand our shifting place within our families and in the world at large?

Therapy for young adults can offer a safe, supportive space to sort through the many emotions that arise during this time. Working with a therapist provides an opportunity to explore these questions without judgment or bias. Because therapy exists outside of your everyday environment, it creates space that is entirely your own, where you can speak openly, reflect honestly, and begin to better understand yourself.

I offer therapy for young adults in Aspen, Basalt, and Carbondale, as well as virtual sessions throughout California, supporting clients as they navigate identity, relationships, and life transitions with greater clarity and confidence. It is a place just for you.

Couples

Relationships can become strained when communication breaks down, conflict repeats itself, or disconnection begins to take hold. I offer couples therapy for partners who want to better understand one another, repair trust, and create a more secure and connected relationship.

Whether you’re navigating ongoing conflict, feeling emotionally distant, or working through the impact of infidelity, couples therapy provides a structured and supportive space to work through what’s happening beneath the surface.

I provide couples therapy in Aspen, Basalt, and Carbondale, working with partners at all stages of their relationship.

families

Family therapy can be a safe, supportive environment to nurture change and development while improving communication and resolving conflicts. Life transitions, death, divorce, parenting often take tremendous tolls on families. When I work with adults or teens, we may decide that family sessions would be beneficial to supplement individual therapy and provide a cohesive support structure to the entire affected group. Families coming in for therapy can gain insight into their patterns of interaction and create more harmonious means of addressing issues.

ADDICTIOn & recovery

Addiction doesn't just affect one person—it ripples through our own lives, relationships between couples, and of course families. I work with individuals to understand the role addiction plays in their lives, and with families and couples to repair trust, rebuild communication, and move toward healing together.

consultation

I love to help new therapists find their way in the room with clients. I will guide you through what can be a nerve-wracking start to a wonderfully fulfilling career. Please call or email me to understand more about what I do.

It's me! My name is Neysa and I offer individual, family and couples therapy sessions to help clients work through a range of mental health challenges. I have been in practice for nearly 15 years, and am dual licensed in California where I offer virtual therapy in areas such as Los Angeles, Manhattan Beach, San Francisco, and I also have an office in Basalt, Colorado for in-person sessions for those who live in Aspen, Basalt, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs.

I use an eclectic mix of therapies, including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based therapies.
